Last week was NOT surreal. I was not an emotional wreck for no apparent reason. I did not feel like crying every minute of every day. And as a matter of fact, I did not break down and cry just because my son told me my jokes weren't funny. No, I did NOT throw myself on the bed like a jilted teenager and just bawl my eyes out. That would just be too weird. (And it would freak out my dear son! LOL)

I did NOT have to spend an entire day looking for my son's expensive calculator.

I did NOT pass up my turn on the way to church.

I did NOT get in my ten minutes of exercising doing the Oompa Loompa dance in the basement with my four youngest children.

I was NOT a day late for two of my TOS reviews, and a shocking TWO DAYS LATE on one of them! (Or they might not let me back on next year!!! Yikes!!!)

I was totally emotionally balanced, efficient, organized, and mature in every way.

Of course I was!!! :)

I suppose it hasn't been a very bad week.  After all, I did NOT get the sixth virus I've had since the school year began.  My fingers I did NOT smash two weeks ago, still do NOT hurt.  I do NOT have a mountain of laundry ready to be folded, organized, and put away on my couch, and I do NOT have a bunch of books in Rubbermaids, all ready to be sorted and put away, even though I only have two bookshelves which isn't nearly enough space.

My kids on the other hand have been such dismal failures.  The younger kids did NOT clean the basement and laundry room.  My daughter Princess did NOT make a pan of brownies, some pudding, and a pie.  Bear, my eight-year-old, did NOT make dinner three days in a row, since I was NOT sick.  Mr. Personality did NOT make $40 shoveling show.  My two oldest, First Born and Ren, did NOT make the dean's list at college.  Ren did NOT get asked to join an honor society.  And finally, Ren and Mr. P. did not pass the final exams for the discipleship class at church. 

On a lighter note, my son Dode Man did NOT just whack me in the face with a legal pad as I typed this all out.  At least one of my kids knows how to act!  LOL

Not Me Monday

Well, yesterday I was thinking about what I could write about this week.  Funny thing, I didn't NOT do anything totally air-headed this week!  I was actually a little disappointed by that!  LOL

Then I did not go to bed last night trying to think of something to write about.  I then did not wake up and put my glasses on to get my sons off for their first day of the winter semester of college.  I then did not get back up later only to find that I could not find my glasses.  No, I did not do that.

I do not lose my glasses.  I am near-sighted and have major astigmatism so I can't see very well without them.  I can't stand not having them on.  I put them on the moment I get up, and I take them off the last thing at night.  I never, never lose them.

My daughter loses her glasses.  She hasn't had them for a few weeks.  I just very self-righteously told her this past week that *I* never lose my glasses.  So, I mean, it makes sense that I did not lose mine.  Right?

And I'm not wearing an old pair that has some of the protective coating on it scratched off leaving a blurry spot right in front of my left eye.  I'm not.  That would be totally annoying. 

I'm so glad I'm not like my daughter.  Nope.  I am totally, totally together.  :)

And btw, I did NOT get named Blogger of the Week by Homeschool Blogger.  If I had, you might be able to read about it here. Too bad, because they might have even mentioned the Not Me Monday meme in the article.

I did a lot this past week, but there is ONE thing I did NOT do. I did not scream at the top of my longs like a total lunatic who had just witnessed a triple homicide, when my son smashed my fingers in a drawer he was trying to open, because I did NOT have my hands wrapped around the counter in such a way that the drawer would have to squeeze past my fingers to open. (I know I am not describing this very well, but why should I care. IT DID NOT HAPPEN!!!)

I then did NOT, the very next day, get the SAME fingers squashed in the SAME drawer by another one of my sons. I then DID NOT scream twice as loudly as I did the day before, as though I found out that I had not witnessed, but committed, the triple homicide in my sleep!

If I had done that my THROAT would have hurt far longer than my FINGERS did!

Boy, am I glad NONE of that happened!!! NOT to me!!! :)"
